Patricia S. Eyres, J.D., CSP
As both an attorney and a training professional, Ms. Eyres has developed a unique expertise on the liabilities which arise in the context of equal employment opportunities (EEO), statutory enforcement, regulatory compliance issues, violence in the workplace, fair employment practices, employee misconduct investigations, discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace. She has presented workshops on EEO and detection and avoidance of sexual harassment for the U.S. Department of the Navy; the State of California Departments of General Services, Food and Agriculture, Buildings and Grounds, Procurement, Fish and Game and Industrial Relations; as well as several counties, cities and community college districts. She has also been a featured speaker at many industry and trade organizations. Private industry clients include Mitsubishi Electronics America, Inc., Unocal Oil Refinery, Texaco Manufacturing & Marketing, Inc., and Aramco Services Company. Ms. Eyres also consults with employers on avoiding liabilities for design and delivery of training programs, health and safety regulatory compliance issues and legal aspects of violence prevention and workplace security. She delivered the Keynote Address for the U.S. Department of Energy Training Accreditation Conference, focusing on workplace liabilities in the nuclear industry. She has made guest appearances on Cable Television where she was interviewed about legal issues affecting the workplace. See upcoming speaking engagements. Ms. Eyres has a wide variety of clients in the public and private sectors. Ms. Eyres has also authored numerous articles. Prior to founding Litigation Management & Training Services, Inc., Ms. Eyres was supervising partner of a law firm civil litigation department. In addition to membership in the State Bar of California, the American and Long Beach Bar Associations and serving as 1990 President of Women Lawyers of Long Beach, she is on the Board of Directors of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Long Beach Community Partnership, and Leadership Long Beach. In 1998, she was appointed by the Mayor of Long Beach to serve as a Civil Service Commissioner, where she sits as a hearing officer on appeals of disciplinary actions against against law enforcement officers, firefighters and other city employees.
